Los Angeles is a region of scale — sprawling, sector-diverse, and shaped by systems that don’t always talk to each other. Coro’s Lead Fellowship program exists to help professionals make sense of that complexity: to understand how decisions move through the region’s civic, business, and community institutions, and to build the adaptive leadership skills needed to act within them. Over nine months, part-time, Lead LA brings together professionals from across sectors to sharpen their leadership practice while going deeper into the institutions that shape Greater Los Angeles.
Meet the newest cohort of Lead LA fellows and see the range of organizations and sectors they’re bringing into the room this year.

About Coro’s Lead Fellowship program
Lead LA opens with an overnight retreat that sets the tone for the nine months ahead, introducing core leadership frameworks and building the trust that makes a cohort work. From there, fellows move into direct engagement with the region: site tours, stakeholder interviews, and independent research into the institutions driving change across Los Angeles. Monthly leadership forums, led by Coro facilitators, build skills in adaptive leadership, inquiry-driven decision-making, team management, and coalition-building, while Issue Day explorations let small teams design and lead their own examination of a civic challenge facing the region. Peer coaching runs throughout, giving fellows a confidential space to work through real leadership and management challenges as they come up.
By the end of the program, fellows have practiced these skills in real settings and leave with a sharper understanding of how Los Angeles works, and where they fit into moving it forward.
The benefits of the Lead Fellowship program
Lead LA fellows come away with:
- The ability to navigate change and uncertainty through adaptive leadership strategies
- Sharper self-awareness and more thoughtful, intentional decision-making
