Alumni
Coro’s 15,000+ graduates have varied and unique journeys, but share a lifelong commitment to participate in civic life and collaborate across differences to improve our world. At Coro, the learning doesn’t stop when your program ends. Our alumni enjoy a host of exclusive benefits: a wide-ranging and influential network, a deep bench of support for tackling professional challenges, and ongoing opportunities for professional development and connection.
Exclusive Alumni Events
We host a variety of events for our alumni. These range from established annual celebrations to informal happy hours, program-specific peer consultancies, and family-friendly get-togethers. The Coro Alumni Councils (see below) also host regular events.

Online Alumni Community
Our free online platforms, Coro Connect (Northern California) and Coro Commons (Southern California) help alumni easily find each other, post and explore job and volunteer opportunities, and share expertise. These platforms are powered by AlumniFire. Stay tuned; we’re working to launch a statewide Coro California platform.
Alumni are also invited to join our Coro Alumni LinkedIn Groups: Northern California or Southern California.

Credly Badges
Coro offers digital badges in partnership with Credly by Pearson™ as a way for alumni to easily showcase their program achievements online. These verified digital badges complement the program certificate you receive at your closing ceremony, making it easy to share your valuable Coro experience on LinkedIn and other digital platforms. The badges highlight your professional and leadership skills, allowing you to display your accomplishments to colleagues, employers, and your network in real time.
Credly Badge FAQs
What are the benefits of a digital badge?
Your badge offers a trusted, verifiable way to digitally display your skills and achievements, shareable with peers and employers. Credly also provides labor market insights and a job-search function within its platform. Learn more.
When and how will I receive my badge?
Within two weeks of completing your Coro program, you’ll receive a pre-badge notification from Coro followed by an email from Credly (admin@credly.com) with instructions to claim your badge. Both emails will go to the address you used during onboarding—please update us if it has changed. Learn more.
What should I do after receiving my badge notification from Credly?
Follow the instructions in the Credly email to accept your badge and set up your account if it’s your first time using Credly. Then, you can share your badge on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, or embed it in your email signature.
How do I share my badge on social media and email?
- LinkedIn: Use the “Share” button on your badge’s profile page, select LinkedIn, and follow the prompts to post to your feed and add it to your “Licenses and Certifications” section. Learn more.
- X & Facebook: Go to the “Promote” box on your badge page, find the icons for these platforms, and follow the steps to share.
Email Signature: Embed your badge in Gmail or Outlook. Learn how.
Does my Credly account cost anything?
No, Coro covers all costs. Even if our partnership with Credly ends, you will continue to have free access to your badge(s).
Can I receive multiple Coro badges?
Yes! For each eligible Coro program you complete, you’ll earn a new badge, all of which will be accessible in your Credly account.
I haven’t received my Coro badge. What should I do?
Currently, badges are issued only for full-length Coro programs. If you completed a qualifying program after 2010 and haven’t received your badge notification email, check your spam/junk folder. If you still haven’t received it, email Carson at cbruno@coroca.org to verify or update your email.
What stops someone else from copying or using my badge?
Each badge link is unique to you, backed by secure, verifiable data on Credly.
I graduated from a Northern California program prior to the Coro California merger. Can I get a Credly badge?
Coro plans to issue badges to Coro Northern California alumni who completed a full-length Coro program in 2010 through 2025. We’ll share more details soon.
Who can I contact to learn more?
