Carson Bruno is Vice President of Growth at Coro California, where he leads statewide growth execution across program recruitment, enrollment strategy, and business development for Coro X’s custom and contract leadership trainings. He oversees recruitment strategy for Coro’s in-house leadership programs, driving cohort composition, enrollment, and revenue across regions while ensuring diverse, high-impact participant cohorts. Carson also leads sales and business development for Coro X, Coro California’s customized leadership training practice, overseeing opportunity development and client engagement for offerings ranging from short-format workshops to multi-day custom programs.
Prior to the Coro California merger, Carson served as the inaugural Vice President of Growth and before that, as Senior Director of Training and Programs at Coro Southern California, where he led leadership program delivery and cross-sector training initiatives.
Carson brings a cross-sector background spanning public policy, higher education, finance, and research. He is the former Assistant Dean for Program Relations, Admissions, and Program Services at the Pepperdine School of Public Policy, where he also served as Adjunct Faculty specializing in California policy solutions. Earlier in his career, Carson was a Research Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution and worked in public finance investment banking at J.P. Morgan Securities, Inc. in New York City, structuring tax-exempt and taxable municipal bond issuances.
Carson holds a Master of Public Policy with Honors in Applied Economic Policy and American Politics and Policy from the Pepperdine School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management with Special Attainments in Commerce from Washington and Lee University. He is an alumnus of the Coro Lead LA Fellowship and lives in Santa Barbara County with his husband.
